This shot is at our first read-through of the script. Michael Bath, our highly respected Guest Artist is on the left. If you’re familiar with Cincinnati theater, you’ll be familiar with Michael. He just turned in a spectacular performance as Roy Cohn in the highly acclaimed production of Angels in America at Know Theater. Michael is coming off a year of stellar work that also includes My Name is Asher Lev and Becky’s New Car at Ensemble Theater. We’re happy he decided to get in the car with us.
Michael is joined on the right by Nathan Neorr, one of Cincinnati’s rising stars. Nathan was just in Showboat Majestic’s You Can’t Take it With You. He played Robin Hood for Children’s Theater and had a star turn in Sam Shepard’s Fool for Love. He’s been turning heads and winning awards since landing on the scene at Ensemble Theater nearly five years ago. He’s also in the midst of starring in a feature film.
After studying with Lee Strasberg, accomplished stage and screen actor Darryl Hilton made his way back to Cincinnati and has been chewing up scenery for years. He most recently starred in The Exonerated and Intimate Apparel as well as August Wilson’s Jitney at Ensemble Theater.
We’re fortunate to have Louisville-based actor Tom Menendez making his own road trip to Cincinnati to round out our cast of four former high school buddies. He’s played Barney Cashman in Neil Simon’s Last of the Red-Hot Lovers, B-Flatt in Pamela Parker’s Second Samuel, and most recently Mr. Italy in Just-Us League Films feature film production of Mountain Mafia.
Supporting players include Cyndy Hanselman Allen, Mindy Heithaus, Dan O’Keeffe and a surprise turn by a local broadcast celebrity who wishes to preserve her anonymity. But you can hear her performance as Michael Bath’s character’s wife, who wishes him well as he leaves to join his buddies in their waiting car. Just click on the play button below. It’s a hoot -
